首先，检查宽带连接的账号和密码是否有填写错误。如果是因为填写的错误，那就重新填写即可。要是有的朋友是用路由器的话，没有设置自动拨号的就进入路由器的后台手动设置一下。

如果密码没有错误还提示的话，我们就检查一下调制解调器（俗称“猫”），然后我们看信号灯是否正常，我们首先检查猫的Power电源指示灯是否亮，如果不亮我们要检查一下电源，然后我们看ADSL宽带信号灯的（Link）或（DSL）或（ADSL）光猫的是（PON）或（网络G）查看是否常亮或是红灯，如果一直在闪烁或是红灯的话说明线路有问题，请及时坚持线路。

如果你是光纤到户没有猫的话可以略过这步。

然后，如果调制解调器没有故障能正常工作的话，就检查网线的接头，因为有的时候网线因为时间太久了，接头会因此氧化掉从而导致接触不良。

如果还是出现错误678的提示，那就要检查本地网卡的设置。XP系统的就要关闭猫的电源，然后再网上邻居里面禁用本地连接，win7以上的就代开网络和共享中心，点击左侧的更改适配器，找到本地连接并点击禁用，然后再重启电脑，重启完后找到本地连接再启用即可。

检查看看本地连接是不是同时存在着很多个网络连接，如果与宽带MODEM相连的网络连接被禁用，进行拨号的时候也会出现错误678的提示，因此出现678错误的时候还要看本地连接是否呗禁用，如果禁用的话，我们启用在尝试用宽带连接。

如果以上的方法都没有解决的话，那你就要查看下是不是宽带欠费了，或者打宽带的服务电话，叫维修人员过来把你查看一下原因。
