【usb接口】USB是英文Universal Serial BUS的缩写，中文含义是“通用串行总线”。USB是在1994年底由英特尔、康柏、IBM、Microsoft等多家公司联合提出的。它不是一种新的总线标准，而是应用在PC领域的接口技术。USB是在1994年底由英特尔、康柏、IBM、Microsoft等多家公司联合提出的。不过直到近期，它才得到广泛地应用。
接口类型是指该便携存储产品所采用的与电脑系统相连接的接口规格。
USB是一个外部总线标准，用于规范电脑与外部设备的连接和通讯。USB接口支持设备的即插即用和热插拔功能。
USB接口可用于连接多达127种外设，如鼠标、调制解调器和键盘等。USB自从1996年推出后，已成功替代串口和并口，并成为当今个人电脑和大量智能设备的必配的接口之一。
USB的版本：
第一代：USB 1.0/1.1的最大传输速率为12Mbps。1996年推出。
第二代：USB 2.0的最大传输速率高达480Mbps。USB 1.0/1.1与USB 2.0的接口是相互兼容的。
第三代：USB 3.0 最大传输速率5Gbps, 向下兼容USB 1.0/1.1/2.0（USB 3.0与USB 2.0 的区别:http://www.kkzj.com/）
前置USB接口
前置USB接口是位于机箱前面板上的USB扩展接口。目前，使用USB接口的各种外部设备越来越多，例如移动硬盘、闪存盘、数码相机等等，但在使用这些设备（特别是经常使用的移动存储设备）时每次都要钻到机箱后面去使用主板板载USB接口显然是不方便的。前置USB接口在这方面就给用户提供了很好的易用性。目前，前置USB接口几乎已经成为机箱的标准配置，没有前置USB接口的机箱已经非常少见了。
前置USB接口要使用机箱所附带的USB连接线连接到主板上所相应的前置USB插针（一般是8针、9针或10针，两个USB成对，其中每个USB使用4针传输信号和供电）上才能使用。在连接前置USB接口时一定要事先仔细阅读主板说明书和机箱说明书中与其相关的内容，千万不可将连线接错，不然会造成USB设备或主板的损坏。
另外，使用前置USB接口时要注意前置USB接口供电不足的问题，在使用耗电较大的USB设备时，要使用外接电源或直接使用机箱后部的主板板载USB接口，以避免USB设备不能正常使用或被损坏。
USB需要主机硬件、操作系统和外设三个方面的支持才能工作。而且USB接口还可以通过专门的USB连机线实现双机互连，并可以通过Hub扩展出更多的接口。USB具有传输速度快，使用方便，支持热插拔，连接灵活，独立供电等优点。
