通俗一点来说，HDMI就是一种高清视频接口，在现在主流笔记本、液晶电视、显卡以及主板中都比较经常可以见到。HDMI是一种数字化视频/音频接口技术，可以同时传送音频以及影像信号。是现在最为流行的高清接口。HDMI是数字信号，而普通的VGA是模拟信号。模拟信号衰减达到一定程度就会有重影情况，在这一点上是远远比不上HDMI的哦。

1、最早的HDMI 1.0版本

2002年12月新推出了最早的HDMI 1.0版本，它最大的特点就是整合了音频流的数字接口了，与当时PC页面中流行的DVI接口相比，它更为先进，也更加方便。HDMI 1.0版本支持从DVD到蓝光格式的视频流且具备CEC功能。在应用时，可以在所有连接设备间形成一种共通的联络，从而更加方便的控制整个设备组。

2、HDMI 2.0

经过很多年的发展，现在我们比较常用的HDMI接口主要是HDMI 2.0。它的宽带扩充到了18Gbps，支持即插即用以及热插拨，支持3840*2160分辨率以及最高支持60Hz帧率。同时在音频方面支持最多32个声道，以及最高1536khz采样率。顺便提一下：HDMI2.0并没有定义新的数据线以及接头、接口，因此对于HDMI 1.x，可以完美向下兼容等等。

3、支持8K的HDMI 2.1

而最新的HDMI 2.1是在2017年1月新推出的，频宽大幅提升至 48Gbps，可以支持高达7,680 × 4,320/60Hz(8K/60p)的影像，或4K/120Hz的更高帧率影像。且支持新的动态HDR技术，比起“静态”HDR，“动态”HDR 可以确保视频的每一幕、甚至每一帧，都显示出景深、细节、亮度、对比度的理想值以及更宽广的色域等等。
