　　由浅到深，先说下BIOS。BIOS是"Basic Input Output System" 英的缩写，那么翻译成中文就是"基本输入输出系统"。BIOS与我们平时说的CMOS是有区别的。BIOS是写在CMOS芯片里面一个软件，而 CMOS是焊在主板上的一个芯片，CMOS是硬件，很多人不懂的会搞错的，设置一下CMOS是错误的说法，CMOS是无法设置的。同样，那 BIOS放电也是错误的说法。

　　BIOS程序有大小的，有256KB、512KB、1M、2M 等之分，占用空间越大BIOS选择项越多，BIOS越丰富。

　　现在的通常是8个脚，以前的32脚什么的看得都烦。设计合理的主板一般都在CMOS电池及南桥附近，或者是I/O附近，芯片表示一般会有一张小帖纸或带颜色的记号。动手能力强的可以拆开机箱看看。当然我看到过一些奇葩设计的离南桥和I/O很远的，这样是不合理的。(PS:这里是I/O input/output的缩写，即输入输出端口。在电脑上是挂在南桥以下用于管理外部接口和主板各路电压的开启与关闭。)

　　双BIOS，也就是一块主板上有两个CMOS芯片，当然这两个芯片不是同时工作的，分一个主和一个副。USER为主，SAFE为副，每个芯片中有一个BIOS程序。双BIOS有很多好处，电脑故障中BIOS损坏的比例也是相当多的，当主BIOS损坏的时候，主板会从另一个副 BIOS启动电脑，我们要升级BIOS的时候，如果升级失败，一个BIOS 的主板就无法正常工作了(当年小编冒死升级BIOS现在想起来还觉得后怕)。

　　两个BIOS的主板还可以从副BIOS启动，而且可以修复受损正BIOS。所以，双BIOS可以减少主块的故障率! CMOS跳线，通常为三根针有跳线帽在上面，当短正常短接第一第二的时候，CMOS芯片正常工作，主板正常工作，当短接第二第三的时候，CMOS为放电状态，CMOS不工作，里面的BIOS程序强制复原到初始状态，主板不工作，无法开机。
