一、独立显卡是什么
独立显卡是指以独立板卡形式存在，可在具备显卡接口的主板上自由插拔的显卡。独立显卡具备单独的显存，不占用系统内存，而且技术上领先于集成显卡，能够提供更好的显示效果和运行性能。一般现在配置要求高点的游戏都需要独立显卡才能支持，比如现在的英雄联盟就必须要独显才能支持。

二、双显卡是什么
双显卡是采用两块显卡(集成—独立、独立—独立)通过桥接器桥接，协同处理图像数据的工作方式。不过现在市面上nVidia与AMD公司生产的显卡分别将这种工作方式叫做SLI和Cross Fire。如果你的主板不支持双显卡的话那是不能用双显卡。

三、双显卡好还是独立显卡好
双显卡的目的有两个，第一，如用电池的时候切换到核心显卡可以更省电。第二，使用外接电源的时候，办公等不需要独立显卡的时候用核显可以让笔记本工作在较低的温度，玩游戏的时候自动个或者手动切换到独立显卡享受更好的游戏体验。

AMD双显卡还有一种玩法，AMD的有一种混合交火技术，就是将核心显卡和独立显卡做混合交火来达到更高的游戏性能，不过并非所有的AMD双显卡笔记本都能这样做，而且核心显卡和独立显卡必须都是AMD的。intel处理器核显和Nvidia的独显是做不到的。

其实理论上来说，双显卡所拥有的双显卡交火技术可以大大提高电脑显卡的性能，提高图像的显示处理效果。可是在实际中的话，会产生的效果就不是很明显，甚至在一NVIDIA显卡不支持linux系统下双显卡切换也不支持双显卡的交火的话，那就基本上是没有多大作用了。

而现在的卡独立显卡无论在性能还是技术上在多年来都得到了快速的发展。所以并不是双显卡好还是独立显卡好的问题，只是看用户的需求，其实现在暂时还是用独显还是可以的，现在的好点的独立显卡基本上都能支持电脑上的游戏或者其他应用程序。
